Belated Birthday wishes?

Well I totally missed posting on "The Boy's" birthday, what a horrible mom! So this one is simply to say (in case you read this when you are older...):

HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY COLIN!!!

I cannot believe you are really 2 yrs old. It seems like only yesterday you and daddy were at Children's Mercy without me and I was trying to get better to come and see you. My how things have changed over the last two years, I would guess that trend is not going to change at all and I will be saying the same things for years and years to come. I love you Dude! And I hope that you had one of the best birthdays ever!

ONE MONTH???

Oh my how time flies! Has it really been a month since I updated this thing...YIKES! Sorry readers (well family and Adam!). I would like to say that I have nothing to report, but in fact that is not true at all. We have been busily preparing the house for an upcoming birthday party (now who's would that be...?). Doug and I have been busy at work as well, of course we are you know where we work! And Colin has been sick (pneumonia last week, not so much fun for us) but is doing much better now.
As a matter of fact on the Colin front, new things re happening everyday. He is walking more and more with less and less assistance. New words come out of his mouth all of the time (some understandable, some not so much but the communication is there!). And we are wearing big boy pants much more often these days, oh what an exciting time!!!
On to birthday news.....I know some of you will start asking me very soon what Colin wants. My plan is to go through his clothes this week so I can have a better idea of what he needs as well as what size he is wearing. You would think I could tell you what size off the top of my head, but I went through 3 pairs of pants that were too short before I found a pair that fit today (and no the dryer was not to blame on this!). So the short of it is...we will have a list soon. I will post it here as well as send out an e-mail with ideas. THE PARTY....invites should be in the mail late this week, but please mark your calendars for March 25 at 1:00pm. We will host one big party at our house this year (we finally have room!). Doug and I will provide burgers, brats, dogs, ice cream and cake, then we will ask all of you to bring some kind of side dish so we have enough food. It iwll be very informal and if some people have to come and go, no worries (since we are looking at almost 40 people anyway it migh be easier!). The schedule for the day: 1:00pm - burgers, brats, and dogs will be ready; 1:45 or 2:00 - we will open presents; 2:45 or 3:00 - we will do cake and ice cream. Should be a fun time, we would love to have you if you can make it!
