Belated Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday

The craziness of the holiday season is almost over and I am so glad. I did get all the presents (that I purchased) wrapped and delivered to their respective new owners, save for my mom and my sisters family but we aren't celebrating until Saturday because of a Chicken Pox scare. We also made it to see each family member on either Christmas Day or Eve, it doesn't sound like a monumental acheivement but it really is! And my family was blessed with some memorable family times and some great presents (just wait untill I get a hold of Colin and the new car pics). by the sounds of the last three (or so) sentences one would think I had the perfect holiday season....why is it then that I feel so deflated, tired, "scrooge-y", and sad? I have lots to be thankful for; good friends, a healthy (most of the time, not necessarily right now) family, great extended family, FABULOUS in-laws (they hardly even fit the "in-law" bill to be honest), a beautiful husband and son, and a great job. Hmmmm, I have to figure this one out. Perhaps that will be my 2007 resolution (even thought I DETEST resolutions), to get my act together and be thankful for what I have instead of whine all the time. Check back for pictures tomorrow, or the next day, or even the next day as we all know how diligent I am at updating this thing!
PS The happy birthday is for Erin! I am the loser who did NOT get her a gift, however I will make up for it. I swear!
